UDX Hirahata Clinic’s Genetic Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Center features Class 10,000 (equivalent to ISO Level 7) cleanroom facilities as well as DNA preparation and culturing facilities, making it a state-of-the-art facility capable of delivering high standards in safety and quality.
Normal cancer detection methods (MRI/CT/PET) are limited in their ability to detect early-stage cancers with diameters of less than 5 mm.
This facility conducts DNA testing using a state-of-the-art multiplex PCR testing method capable of detecting 131 different types of genetic abnormalities linked to cancer, and is able to predict the existence and location of cancers not detectable through methods such as PET and CT.This also enables the facility to provide figures on the risk levels of developing various types of cancer over the three-to-five-year period following the examination.
Cancer is a genetic disease that is caused by a number of genetic mutations.Since the mutations involved with cancer can be different from case to case, even with the same type of cancer, it is necessary to test for a large number of genetic mutations at the same time in order to accurately diagnose cancer.
Equipped with advanced technology and facilities for genetic cancer diagnosis, the Center is capable of conducting 131 different simultaneous genetic analyses on a specimen by utilizing a multiplex cancer diagnostic system.
UDX Hirahata Clinic’s Genetic Cancer Center is a clinic featuring complete research facilities, including Class 10,000 (equivalent to ISO Level 7) cleanroom facilities, and providing state-of-the-art cancer diagnosis and treatment.
